Choir of Truths

Overview

The Choir of Truths is a secret organization that has bases of operation all throughout Creation, although they mostly operate in the Scavenger Lands. They are dedicated to bringing about the downfall of the state religions of the Realm, the Holy Order of Immaculates and the True Immaculate Order. They feel that these state religions have brought about the downfall of human society and have contributed to the oppression of the common man under the rule of the Dragon-Blooded host. They are aware of the conspiracy with the Sidereals, although they do not formally recognize them as Sidereals - just Heavenly functionaries, and of the conspiracy with Yu-Shan. They are not quite certain what the purpose of this conspiracy is, but they are certain that it does not work toward the benefit of the common man. While the leaders of the Choir of Truths do not seek to overthrow the government of the Dragon-Blooded, they do seek to sever the ties of the Sepia Throne from the oppressive doctrine of the Immaculate Orders.

Organization

The Choir of Truths is organized into cells of four, to limit casualties to the organization if they are ever discovered. There is one superior and three subordinates in each cell. The subordinates only know of the superior and the superior only knows of their three subordinates and their superior. There is no one person in the organization who knows all of the cells, and the leaders of the organization do not reveal their subordinates to anyone - including the other leaders. Each individual cell operates independently of the others and is often requested to perform small acts that diminish the power and influence of the Immaculate orders. Common missions include the destruction or theft of Immaculate property, occasionally the assassination of Immaculate monks, novices or functionaries, misinformation to branches of Immaculate Temples and on rare occasion inciting locals to rebel against the Immaculate orders. Their activities are extremely limited on the Blessed Isle itself, the Choir of Truths working to weaken the Immaculate orders in the Scavenger Lands and the Threshold and gaining in strength before moving against the Immaculate orders themselves on the Blessed Isle.

Membership

As of right now, there are no known members of the Choir of Truths, and in fact, the Choir of Truths itself is not known to exist to anyone outside of the organization. It has not been heard of anywhere in Creation and if caught, any members would deny its existence, claiming that they are operating as individual dissidents who have personal grudges against the Immaculate Orders - that much being completely true.
